Laurier mourns passing of Elizabeth Miller

Elizabeth Miller, a long-serving employee in Laurier’s Department of Human Resources, passed away Jan. 1, 2013 at the age of 64.
Miller joined Laurier (then known as Waterloo Lutheran University) in August 1969 as a secretary to the director of personnel and assistant business manager. She retired in 2009 as a pension administrator.
“Elizabeth was a much-loved and valued member of the Human Resources team at Laurier for 40 years,” said Pamela Cant, assistant vice-president of Human Resources. “Her bright smile, caring approach and positive outlook was contagious, and appreciated so much by her friends and colleagues. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of us.”
Miller is survived by her husband Albert and children, Chris and Wayne.
Visitations will be held Jan. 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. The funeral is Jan. 7 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Flags at Laurier will be flown at half-mast until Miller's funeral.
