Office of Aboriginal Initiatives celebrates student bursary winners of the SUNDANCe award
Wilfrid Laurier University's Office of Aboriginal Initiatives is pleased to announce the recipients for the 2011-2012 SUNDANCe Aboriginal Award. Laurier students Cara Loft and Rachael Simon received the SUNDANCe bursary, an award presented to Aboriginal Students attending Wilfrid Laurier University, the University of Waterloo, or the University of Guelph and who have demonstrated active involvement in the Aboriginal community.
Senior Advisor: Aboriginal Initiatives, Jean Becker, emphasized the importance of giving back to the aboriginal community, "Your success as students is important to all Aboriginal people in this country. You are role models and your communities are counting on you for leadership today and in the future. We support your dreams and visions and wish you every success." The Office of Aboriginal Initiatives is committed to supporting Aboriginal Students (First nations, Status, Non-status, Inuit and Metis) at its Brantford, Kitchener, and Waterloo campuses. We acknowledge Cara and Rachel who have been actively involved in creating community for Aboriginal students here at Laurier.

To be eligible for the SUNDANCe award you must be a full-time Aboriginal student who is attending Wilfrid Laurier University, the University of Waterloo, or the University of Guelph.
The Next Deadline for the SUNDANce Aboriginal Award is March, 5 2013.
