WATERLOO – Wilfrid Laurier University has reached a tentative deal for a new collective agreement with the union representing its Contract Academic Staff.
The agreement was reached late Tuesday afternoon after a full day of talks with a mediator. The deal must still be ratified by the university’s Board of Governors and by Laurier's Contract Academic Staff, who are represented by the Wilfrid Laurier University Faculty Association.
“We are pleased to have reached a tentative agreement,” said Max Blouw, president and vice-chancellor of Wilfrid Laurier University. “These are challenging times for universities and I would like to acknowledge the hard work that all parties contributed to the bargaining process.”
