Laurier's MBA Co-op Alumni Studio this Thursday
Communications, Public Affairs & Marketing
Three of Laurier’s MBA alumni who went through the co-op program are speaking about their experience and the benefits of co-op for people interested in applying to the MBA program. The Laurier Alumni Studio takes place Thursday, March 7 in the Paul Martin Centre on Laurier’s Waterloo campus.
Interested candidates can meet with MBA representatives, Laurier faculty and alumni. The three alumni on the panel are:
- Pamela Marck, Vice-President, Daggerwing Group
- Ronnie Bell, Marketing Manager, Target, and
Saw Tun, current MBA candidate
“The Laurier MBA Co-op Alumni Studio is an excellent forum to attend, as it provides interested candidates with an insider’s view into Laurier’s distinct MBA Co-op program and an opportunity to engage with current students and alumni in a relaxed environment,” said Marck, who is moderating the panel. “This event will provide a comprehensive understanding of the advantage of the Laurier MBA Co-op program and how it will impact your future career.”
Laurier was the first university in Ontario to offer business co-op. The Laurier MBA with co-op program was created for graduates with little to no work experience. Alumni will speak about their experiences working with Laurier’s co-op coordinators, their work terms, the first term integrated core and why they chose Laurier.
The event is applicable to any candidate who has less than two years of full-time work experience. No business background or degree is required.
Registration for the event begins at 5:30 p.m. and the panel takes place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The MBA Co-op Alumni Studio is a free event and registration is not required, although it is preferred. To register, email Holly Patton at email@example.com.
