Print | PDFIt is with profound sadness that Wilfrid Laurier University mourns the death of student Gagandeep Sangwan, who drowned July 16 while hiking at Gold Creek in Golden Ears Provincial Park in Maple Ridge, B.C.
Gagandeep was a student in the Honours Bachelor of Science program at Laurier’s Waterloo campus.
“Our heartfelt thoughts are with Gagandeep’s family and friends,” said David McMurray, vice-president: Student Affairs. “His tragic death is felt deeply within the Laurier community.”
A service will be held for Gagandeep on July 24 at 12:30 p.m. at the Fraser River Funeral Home, 2061 Riverside Road, Abbotsford, British Columbia.
