Waterloo – U.S. President Donald Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Finland on July 16, 2018. Wilfrid Laurier University has experts who could speak about the implications of this summit.

Alistair Edgar, associate professor of political science and outgoing executive director of the Academic Council on the United Nations System, is an expert on international security, the United Stations, peacekeeping and peace building, and NATO. He was the Olin Institute Fellow in Economics and National Security at Harvard University in 1992, and completed a Russian Studies certificate at Moscow State University in 1995/96. Darren Mulloy, professor and chair of the Department of History, is an expert on post-1945 U.S. history, particularly on radical political movements of the right and left.
