Waterloo – American immigration policy is back in the news. Wilfrid Laurier University has a number of experts available to comment.

Alison Mountz is an expert on migration and refugee issues. Originally from the U.S., she is director of Laurier’s International Migration Research Centre. She is available to comment on people with temporary protected status in the U.S., Dreamers, political asylum, border enforcement and the policies and practices designed to manage immigration. Barry Kay is an expert on U.S. and Canadian politics, elections and public opinion. He regularly comments in the media about various political issues including U.S. President Donald Trump. Contact: bkay@wlu.ca.

Jenna Hennebry is an expert on global migration policy and labour migration, particularly as these relate to gender. She has worked extensively with the United Nations on international migration governance and is available for comment on the effects of U.S. immigration policy on migrants.
