Waterloo – Feb. 22 marks Pink Shirt Day, where everyone is encouraged to wear something pink to show that we are all working together to prevent bullying in our schools, in our communities and online.
The following Laurier experts are available to comment on stories relating to Pink Shirt Day and the effects of bullying and cyberbullying.
Danielle Law, assistant professor in Laurier’s Youth and Children’s Studies and Psychology programs, is an expert on cyberbullying and responsible Internet use. Law’s research examines how children and adolescents develop cognitively and socio-emotionally as they interact and socialize using various technologies. Michael Woodford, associate professor in Laurier’s Faculty of Social Work, is an expert on bullying and discrimination targeting LGBTQ youth.
