I grew up in Thunder Bay, Ontario and spent my childhood reading, playing sports and enjoying the many outdoor activities that Thunder Bay has to offer. When I finished high school I moved to Kingston, Ontario to attend Queen’s University. At Queen’s, I majored in Psychology. I was immediately drawn to the way that psychologists empirically studied common, everyday phenomenon such as sibling rivalry, romantic relationships and stereotypes and prejudice. After completing an honours degree in Psychology, I moved to Waterloo, Ontario to complete my Ph.D. Upon completion of my Ph.D., I went down the street to the Waterloo campus of Wilfrid Laurier University. I stayed there for a year and conducted research as a postdoctoral fellow.

I have been a faculty member at Laurier Brantford for quite a few years now and I really enjoy being a part of such a vibrant and enthusiastic environment. My leisure time is spent playing soccer, reading novels and spending time with my husband and son.
