The Office of the Associate Vice-President: Teaching and Learning
Post-secondary education is in a moment of transformation. Pressures from many angles are forcing administrators, faculty, staff and parents to rethink, re-evaluate, and re-imagine the important work of teaching and learning in universities. How do we value and retain the best of our traditions while adapting to demographic, technological, and cultural changes? Wilfrid Laurier University is tackling those issues head on and I believe that the office of the Associate Vice President of Teaching and Learning has a significant role to play in these discussions. The AVP: T & L provides senior leadership and support to Laurier's vision of excellence through program development, teaching and learning, and student development.
The main areas of responsibility are:
- Centre for Teaching Innovation and Excellence (CTIE)
- Centre for Student Success (CSS)
- Academic Integrity
- Institutional Quality Assurance Process (IQAP)
- Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship
