People at Laurier

Niru Philip, Information Technology Services Niru first arrived at Laurier as a student in 1993, and began his career with ITS the following year when he was hired by Computing Services as a Student Computer Technician and later a Student Help Desk Consultant. After graduating in 1997 with B.Sc. in Computer Science and a minor in Political Science, Niru has seen the department grow and evolve having been a Systems Support Technician and now holding the position of Systems Analyst III. In this role Niru supports a gamut of services including Cognos and the Laurier Stockmarket Competition. He has also contributed to WLUSA in various capacities such as a member of the negotiating team and as President. Niru also currently serves as a staff representative on the Board of Governors.
