Join us at Laurier

Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

A number of college and university students just like you choose to continue their postsecondary studies at Laurier. Whether you’re looking to build on the knowledge you’ve learned at college, or to switch gears and try something new, we’re here to help you through the process of transferring institutions. Read more regarding our general transfer admissions policies.

Applying to Laurier

When you apply, your application will automatically be evaluated for transfer credits, if you’ve attended another postsecondary institution in the past. A preliminary transfer credit assessment will be provided on your offer of admission and will be finalized when all conditions are cleared.

You can find out how to apply to Laurier as a transfer student in our Undergraduate Admissions Toolkit.

Get Your Degree ASAP

The Advanced Summer Acceleration Program (ASAP) is a purpose-designed pathway for college students, from two-year or three-year diploma programs, going into Bachelor of Arts programs at the Brantford campus. It allows you to start your degree one semester earlier in the summer and, with continuous study, you will complete a four-year Honours degree in only two calendar years.

In addition to the benefits that come from completing a degree in a shortened period of time, ASAP also provides a number of benefits for students transferring to university from a college environment. By starting in the summer, you’ll make the transition to university in an environment designed specifically for you. You’ll have the advantage of learning alongside other college transfer students, who share similar experiences and questions, as you make the transition to university life together.
