Join us at Laurier

Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

What’s going on future Hawks?

My name is Jordan Ingraham and I’m in my second of year of the Business Administration program. This will be my first year on the ambassador team, but I am happy to say that I have found a home away from home.

In only one year, Laurier has already provided me with many great memories and opportunities, and I still have three years left at this amazing school. I have been fortunate enough to be involved with various intramurals, including basketball and flag football. I have also been a member of the Finance/Investment and Sports Management Clubs. Other activities including Residence Athletic Council, assisting in Student Union campaigns, participating in Orientation Week, and volunteering throughout campus have helped to round out my incredible experience.

Laurier offers an experience beyond words, something you truly have to experience for yourself. The students and faculty are so welcoming, that the transition between high school and university is surprisingly easy.

Beyond Laurier’s strong academic reputation is a variety of clubs, activities and events that help shape the university experience. There is something for everyone, whether you’re participating in a current hobby, or you want to get outside your comfort zone and try something new.

I’m glad you’ve taken the time to consider Laurier as a future school. I can say, speaking from experience, that you’ll never forget the positive impact and great memories Laurier can provide for you going forward. Remember to take time to make the right choice and pursue what you want – university is an once-in-a-lifetime experience.
