Join us at Laurier

Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Hello! My name is Adi and I am a fourth-year science student here at Laurier. I couldn’t be more excited that you’re considering Laurier to be your future home! Just like you, I had to make the very tough decision of what university I wanted to go to, but Laurier’s school pride, energy and community is what brought me to the place I’ve called home for the last three years. In addition to being a Faculty of Science student, there was a plethora of opportunities for me to get involved with through research and faculty to enrich my academic experience.

Through my years at Laurier, I’ve had the privilege to be a part of various extracurricular activities. In my first year, I was president of my residence House Council which really opened my eyes to the opportunities I had in front of me to get involved. One opportunity I had was during open house, where I gave tours of residence and fell in love with telling others the great aspects of Laurier. Since my first year, I’ve become a Residence Life Don, and as an upper year student in residence I help ease the transition of students into university and aim to foster community. I also work within Athletics and Recreation as an Intramural Referee Chief and am also a Campus Council Advisor for one of our First Year Leadership Programs. Last but definitely not least, I am very privileged to be a Campus Ambassador and it is my mission to show you why Laurier is the greatest place in the world!

I am so excited to be an Ambassador, to promote this school and to answer any questions and concerns you may have in hopes that you fall in love with this school and community just like I did! The best days of my life started when I came to Laurier. So, stay golden and remember, it’s always great to be a Laurier Golden Hawk!
