Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

It’s hard to explain what it means to be a Golden Hawk without meeting us in person. No matter which campus you tour, once you come, you’ll immediately feel the community spirit that makes Laurier special. Join us on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for our annual Fall Open House on the Waterloo Campus.

Register for Waterloo Open House

Note: The event schedule was last updated Oct. 25.

What Can You Do at Open House?

Open House is one of the best times to visit Laurier and find out what our Waterloo campus has to offer you! Our students, staff and faculty are excited to meet you and help you explore the opportunities awaiting you.

  • Take a campus tour: Tour the sights and sounds of campus with a current student.
  • Take advantage of our residence open house: Our current students open their homes to show you dormitory- and apartment-style residence options.
  • Attend information sessions: Speak with staff from Admissions, Financial Aid, Residence, Athletics, Co-op and faculty members.
  • Attend a departmental or information fair: Faculty, staff and students can explain our programs in more detail and answer all of your important questions about university.

Maximize Your Day

  • Register in advance to get email reminders and updates before the event.
  • Review the schedule below and plan your day before you get to campus. Paper copies of the event schedule will be available throughout campus during Open House.
  • Find out how to get here and where to park. Parking is free for our campus visitors during Open House!
  • Wear comfortable shoes and check the weather before you leave – you'll have the chance to explore the entire campus.

Waterloo Campus Parking

There is free parking for all Fall Open House guests. Central campus parking is limited and will be full by 9 a.m. For the best experience arriving on campus, set your GPS to one of the off-campus event parking lots indicated on the Event Parking map. If our central campus lots are full, you will need to complete a loop of campus before exiting to one of our designated parking lots. Off-campus lots are just a short walk from main campus and volunteers will be available along the way to help you get to event activities.

Note: Our event parking map works best in the Google Maps mobile app and does not work well in Google Chrome. If on a web browser, you are asked to log in to view the map, try opening the link in a new browser.

Accessible Parking

For accessible parking, come to Mid Campus Drive at 75 University Avenue West where parking staff will direct you to an accessible parking spot.

Brantford Open House

Our Brantford campus is having an Open House on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018.
