Cease Payroll Deduction for Staff / Faculty Parking Permit
I understand that this "OPT-OUT" provision may only be used for a minimum period of three calendar months. Employees who are taking a university-sanctioned leave, such as a summer layoff, maternity, or medical leave, can opt out of parking. Therefore, staff who continue to work at the university will not qualify. There will be special circumstances, and these will be dealt with on an individual basis by the Parking & Transportation Resources Office. During this period, I recognize that my hang tag will not be valid. Prior to this period, I will return my hang tag to the Parking & Transportation Resources Office where it will be retained.
IMPORTANT NOTE; IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT YOUR PARKING PERMIT & THE "CEASE PAYROLL FORM" ARE BOTH SUBMITTED TO THE PARKING OFFICE BEFORE WE CAN COMMENCE THE CEASING OF YOUR PAYROLL DEDUCTION AS WELL AS AVOID ANY FURTHER CHARGES FOR PARKING BY THE UNIVERSITY.
TO RE-INSTATE YOUR PARKING PERMIT; You will need to come to the Parking & Transportation Resources Office to re-instate your parking permit. You will need to fill out a "Re-Start Payroll Deduction" form and we will then return your parking permit to you.
Depending on your connection speed, it may take longer to submit the form. When it has been submitted, a message will appear letting you know.
When will my Parking deductions cease?
Payroll does not prorate parking deductions. This means your deductions may not cease on the exact date you hand in your paperwork and parking permit. Therefore if you are paid monthly you would need to submit your Cease Payroll Deduction form, along with you parking permit, before your next pay period so the paperwork has time to be processed. If you are paid bi-weekly, the same applies, we need to have your Cease Payroll deduction form along with your permit, before your next pay period so there is time for the paperwork to be processed.
