Young Worker Orientation Training - Brantford
Young workers are 24% more likely to be injured on the job than other groups, particularly during the first few days of employment. This course is designed to ensure young workers understand their rights and responsibilities and provide them with the information they need to work safely. The training provides a general overview of health and safety policies, procedures, rights and responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act along with WHMIS training. Additional training modules for Laboratory Safety, Biosafety, Laser Safety are provided as required. This in-class session must be in conjunction with job specific training given by the supervisor and close supervision on the job. Please complete all fields marked with an asterisk in the following form to register. If more than five students need to be registered, please fill out an additional form.

Course cancellations must be made via email to firstname.lastname@example.org TWO WORKING DAYS prior to the course date. Departments will be invoiced $50 per registrant for failing to attend without the specified notice. For courses canceled at the discretion of SHERM, a two working day notice will be provided to participants, with the exception of situations involving circumstances beyond SHERM's control.
