As a student, my studies included work at the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto, the Royal Conservatory of Music’s Orchestral Training Program and the Banff Centre for the Arts (Opera Orchestra Residency).
My principal teachers include Toronto Symphony flutists Virginia Markson and Nora Shulman, in addition to private and masterclass study with many of the world’s leading flutists including Geoffrey Gilbert, Peter Lloyd, Carol Wincenc, William Bennett and Walfrid Kujala.
I have successfully held the positions of principal flute with Symphony Nova Scotia, as well as second flute/piccolo with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony.
Currently in demand as a freelance artist, I perform regularly with the National Ballet of Canada and the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony while also being regularly called to perform with the Canadian Chamber Ensemble, Stratford Festival Orchestra, Orchestra London and Opera Ontario.
As a soloist, I have been featured with the Canadian Chamber Ensemble (broadcast on CBC Radio), the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony and the Laurier Flute Ensemble, in addition to regular solo recitals as part of Wilfrid Laurier University’s Thursday Noon Series.
I have been a member of Wilfrid Laurier University’s Faculty of Music since 1996 as well as a long standing faculty member at Inter-Provincial Music Camp.
