Movement Disorders Research & Rehabilitation Centre (MDRC)
Swim Event and Fundraising Competition
Organized by WLU Kinesiology students (KP242)
Date: Nov 14/13
Location: WLU Athletic Complex pool
Cost: $10/team minimum (preselected teams)
Third year Kinesiology students have been given the opportunity to run an athletic based event of their choosing. One group chose to run theirs as a fundraiser and support the Sun Life Financial Movement Disorders Research and Rehabilitation Centre at Laurier (under the Kin/Science Department).
The goal of the students is to create awareness for Parkinson's disease and MDRC while bringing people together in support of the cause.
To help make this event a success, they are looking for donated prizes for the winners of the events, donations and spectators!
Students - visit the table in the concourse midday on November 6, 7 or 8. Learn more about MDRC as well as how you can support this event. PLAN NOW to attend the event on November 14 from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. and cheer on your favourite team!
