We are so excited to welcome you to Laurier and are here to help you navigate your graduate student journey.

Before you start, there are a number of important steps to complete. The information below was designed to ease your transition as you prepare for the start of your degree.

What's Next...

You've accepted your offer to graduate studies at Laurier, take the next steps in your graduate student journey. 

1.

Pay your tuition and fees. Pay your upcoming term invoice on LORIS by the due date to avoid late fees. Fees are assessed one month before the start of each semester. 

2.

Register for courses. Register for courses using LORIS, Laurier's web information system. Check out the Graduate Course Registration page for tips, or view the course registration playlist on YouTube.   

 

3.

Complete the checklist. Our checklist provides you with the resources you need to get ready for the start of your degree.

Set Up Your Tech

  • Activate your Laurier student email to participate in orientation and beyond.
  • Activate your Laurier Zoom account to participate in online orientation events and more. 
  • Familiarize yourself with MyLearningSpace to access course content and more.
  • Check out Laurier's Tech Guide to set up MFA, connect to your Wi-Fi, and download available software to your device. 

Campus Essentials 

  • Complete the Student Self-Identification (ID) It’s confidential, voluntary, and supports our equity, diversity, and inclusion goals at Laurier.
  • Apply for a Parking Permit if you're planning to drive to campus.
  • Upload your Laurier OneCard photo, this is your identification card and more on campus.
  • Find out more about the different support options available to you.

Join the Graduate Orientation and Transition team for a chance to get to know the graduate student community! We'll be covering everything you need to know, all the resources available to you, and student success tips from a current graduate student. Open to all incoming graduate students studying remotely in online programs.
