After you have submitted your online application, paid the non-refundable application fee, and Laurier has received your application, you'll receive an email from email@example.com advising you to upload the additional required documentation to Laurier’s Online Viewing system. Each program requires different documents, so review the application checklist, found on each program page, to ensure you upload all required documents.
Your application documents are received by the university in real time. You do not need to confirm or verify completion of your application once you have uploaded all of the required (and/or applicable) documents. If you wish, you may select "download" to retain a consolidated file copy of your application for your own records.
The application summary is the PDF document that was created when you submitted and paid for your application. If you did not download the document at the time of submission, you can log into the online application using your username and PIN to retrieve it.
You must upload a digital copy of transcripts and graduation certificates (where applicable) for every postsecondary educational institution (college or university) you have attended, including those at which a degree or diploma was not completed. These uploaded copies of your documents will be used for initial evaluation of the application.
Each transcript should be scanned and uploaded as a single PDF (rather than a separate file for each page). Transcripts must show all coursework completed and grades earned. Web-generated academic records (e.g., a self-service, web-generated document used to communicate grades and academic standing) are also acceptable if the following information is noted on the generated document:
Conditional admission offers may be made based on documents uploaded. Each applicant offered admission is required to submit official transcripts (and degree certificates, where applicable) to finalize admission and to register in the graduate program. To be considered official, academic records must be received in official university envelopes, sealed and endorsed by the issuing institution.
Laurier reserves the right to cancel admission or registration in any cases where documentation or information is found to have been incomplete, misrepresented or falsified. Laurier may disclose information on falsified documents with other Canadian universities, as well as with Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
Reference Letters are required in support of an application for admission to Laurier. Contact your referees before you apply online to confirm their availability, email (employee email only) and mailing address.
Some programs require tests such as the GMAT or GRE. In such cases, you will be prompted to upload your scores on Laurier’s Online Viewing system.
Proficiency in English, both written and oral, is essential to pursue graduate studies at Laurier. Applicants whose language of instruction during their previous postsecondary education was not in English must submit evidence of proficiency in English. If applicable, results from accepted testing services must be uploaded to Laurier’s Online Viewing system.
Other documentation, including a statement of intent, a resumé, and a writing sample, is required. Consult your program’s application checklist for more details.
By applying to Laurier, applicants verify that the information in their application is true, complete and correct, and that all information relevant to a decision on the application has been disclosed. It is the responsibility of each applicant to keep Laurier informed of any relevant changes to information or application materials that may occur between the date of submission of the application and its supporting documents, and any subsequent registration at Laurier.
