I completed a joint Master of Social Work-Master of Theological Studies degree at Wilfrid Laurier University and Waterloo Lutheran Seminary in 2010. In the MSW program, my field of concentration was community, policy, program and organizations. In 2004, I graduated with a BA in Social Development Studies from the University of Waterloo, Renison University College.
I have been working with Laurier’s Faculty of Social Work as a practicum field advisor, on a part-time basis, supporting master’s level students. Before joining The Delton Glebe Counselling Centre, I served as a community engagement coordinator with Immigration Partnership Waterloo Region. I specifically supported the partnership’s Belong Steering Group. As a lifelong resident of Kitchener, I also worked for the Region of Waterloo’s social services department in front-line and management positions supporting financially vulnerable people as a caseworker, employment and life skills counsellor, and as a staff and program supervisor.
