The Beckett School at Laurier offers intergenerational programs in group settings for adults 18+ designed to foster community engagement and support skill building. Specific goals for our adult programming include promoting social interaction, emotional wellbeing and enhancing quality of life.

Learn how to play the ukulele and participate in group jam sessions. No experience? No worries! Ukelele is one of the easiest instruments to learn and a great place to start if you are looking for something simple and fun.
Our weekly wellness choir is open for adults 18+ to engage in singing and learning new repertoire. In addition to learning vocal techniques, the wellness choir focuses on achieving the therapeutic benefits that come from singing. Therefore, the structure for the program targets the emotional, social and physiological benefits of making music. No experience required and no commitment necessary – simply come when you can!
