Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

This online, five-module (115 hours), introductory Positive Psychology Certificate prepares front-line service providers with the knowledge and skills to effectively utilize the scientific foundations and applied interventions of positive psychology to enhance their overall well-being through collaborative and experiential learning. The combination of theoretical and practical approaches in positivity, optimism and well-being provides students with the background and necessary tools to reduce the impact of associated workplace stress related to their personal and professional lives. The implementation of positive psychology based exercises and strategies will contribute to positive mental wellness, increasing psychological assets and resourcefulness. As a final capstone of the certificate, students will focus on developing an initiative as part of their contribution to promoting well-being within the workplace, increasing the sustainability of their own progress while simultaneously benefiting their workplaces and communities.
