Print | PDFThank you, Inspector Crowell.
Mayor Jaworsky, Justice Rabley, Chief Larkin, assembled guests, members and now graduates of Class 101, welcome to Wilfrid Laurier University.
I am so pleased that we have the opportunity to host this ceremony at Laurier today.
Our university strives to reinforce in our students the desire to live lives of leadership and purpose.
I know this desire is shared by the newest officers of the Waterloo Regional Police Service.
Building our community to be better than when we found it is best done through empathy, and a sense of service.
Leadership is a choice – not a position, title, or uniform. It is about stepping up and making a difference in the lives of others.
Thank you for choosing to serve our community in such a significant way.
Thank you also to the Waterloo Regional Police Service for choosing to celebrate this important day at Laurier – it is truly an honour and a sign of the strong relationship between our two organizations.
On behalf of Wilfrid Laurier University, I wish you all the best for safe and successful careers.
Thank you.
