People at Laurier
As a mature student, wife and mother of three, I had my hesitations about pursuing graduate studies at W.L.S. After several encounters with Admissions Coordinator Sarina Wheeler, I felt a calm assurance that I am not alone. Within months of registering, my journey began in the M.A. Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy program. My early days were full of adventure as I navigated new to me technology like; my learning space, the e-library and getting refreshers on how to write an essay. Personal patience, guidance from professors/colleagues' and attendance to the various training workshops W.L.U. has to offer, all contributed to my learning. Since that time, I have appreciated the camaraderie between staff/students, thought provoking class materials and discussions and personal reflection that have enriched my understandings. As I embark upon graduation, I leave with a better sense of who I am, what I believe and how I would like to have impact in the world.
Onward and Upward,
