Look into Laurier

English (BA)

brantford | Also available in waterloo

As a student at Laurier’s Brantford campus, you can earn the Laurier degree in English while enjoying the advantages of a smaller, more intimate campus and urban environment. Laurier English offers you a comprehensive overview of the history, forms and concerns of literature written in the English-speaking world. You’ll be trained in techniques of literary criticism that will cultivate your analytical abilities, and you’ll hone writing techniques that will make you an exceptional communicator.

In your classes you’ll read some of the richest and most interesting works ever written. By thinking about the ideas and communication patterns in these works you’ll gain a better appreciation for how ideas circulate in our own culture – ideas about how people should live, how people and the environment coexist, how people of different races, genders and classes relate to each other, and more.
