Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Global Studies (BA)

No matter where life takes you, your destination will be global. But what does it take to make your mark in the world? In Global Studies we provide you with intellectual and experiential tools to live, work and find meaning in our globally interconnected age.

As a Global Studies student, you’ll explore topics such as humanitarian law, sustainability, global citizenship and cultural change as they relate to our 3 core areas of study:

  • Peace and Conflict
  • International Development
  • Globalization and Culture

Connect with global issues that have an impact in your local community. Or take part in the Global Studies Experience, an experiential summer of volunteering and learning abroad that has the power to transform your life.
