Ancient Studies (BA)


Go ancient! This program takes a global approach to the ancient world. You can choose from courses on the ancient civilizations of Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas. You’ll study the ancient world through a variety of disciplines. You can take courses in History, Archaeology, Philosophy, and Religion in Culture as you explore the literature, myth, politics and philosophies of the first civilizations, including Egypt, Greece, Rome, China and Mesopotamia.

This is a flexible program that allows you to develop and follow your interests. There are no prerequisites on courses. The flexibility of our program is ideally suited to those interested in combining Ancient Studies with a second major.
