Laurier’s Waterloo Campus is fortunate enough to be served by or located in proximity to a large number of transit systems enabling easy travel to and from campus. Below, please find information on Grand River Transit (GRT), GO Transit, Greyhound Bus Lines, and VIA Rail.
Grand River Transit (GRT)
All full-time undergraduate students at Laurier’s Waterloo Campus may enjoy unlimited transit travel with their OneCard. Simply show your OneCard when boarding the bus, sit back and enjoy the ride. For students living on campus, GRT serves the Waterloo, Kitchener, and Cambridge areas with routes that run frequently to all the places students want to go.
The following routes may be accessed either on King Street North or University Avenue West:
- 7 Mainline (7C, 7D and 7E to Laurier, 7A, 7B and 7F to Downtown/Fairview Mall)
- 8 University/Fairview
- 9 Lakeshore
- 12 Conestoga Mall / Fairview Mall
- 29 Keats Way
- 200 iXpress Conestoga Mall/ Ainslie Terminal (Express Service to the University of Waterloo, Uptown Waterloo and Kitchener’s Downtown Bus Terminal)
- 201 iXpress Laurier/Forest Glen

GO Transit
GO Transit offers a bus route (Route 25) from Laurier’s Waterloo Campus to Square One in Mississauga as well as a limited service train (Route 33) from Kitchener to Toronto’s Union Station. For the most updated schedule, please click here to go to the Routes and Schedules page of GO Transit. GO Bus tickets may be purchased at International News in the Fred Nichols Campus Centre. Train tickets must be purchased at the Kitchener Train station.
Greyhound Bus Lines
Greyhound offers several trips a day to
Toronto’s Union Station as well as service to Woodstock, London and Guelph. A
discounted student rate is available to those who show the ticket agent their
student card. Greyhound bus service may be accessed at the Kitchener Bus
Terminal by taking GRT Route 7A,B, or F. Click

VIA Rail
VIA Rail operates out of the Kitchener Train station located near the intersection of Weber Street and Victoria Street with service to destinations across southwestern Ontario and more. For schedules,click here to go to the VIA Rail website.
