3rd Business Administration

Burlington, ON

Hey future Golden Hawks! My name is Rohan Kapoor and I’m currently in my third year of the Bachelor of Business Administration program at Wilfrid Laurier University.

The transition period from high school to university can be a very difficult time, but in choosing Laurier, you are guaranteed not to be disappointed! A combination of the community feel, involvement opportunities, insanely strong school spirit, and highly praised academics were what helped me in deciding to come to Laurier.

One of the great qualities of this school is that all programs and faculties here have their own unique opportunities, as Laurier is highly diverse when it comes to program choices and customization. In being part of the Business program, I had the opportunity to compete in the Pitch and New Venture Competition, where a group and I invented a service (and earned a trip to the semi-finals)!

There are also numerous opportunities to get involved at Laurier. In my first two years, I played residence and intramural sports, and held positions on the Orientation Week Volunteer Staff as an Icebreaker, on 5 Days for the Homeless as a Volunteer Manager, and in Recruitment and Admissions as a Campus Ambassador. For the 2014-2015 year, I will be a Senior Campus Ambassador of Training and Development, as well as a Club Communications Coordinator within the Students’ Union.

This is a huge step in your life, so make every moment count and make your university experience the best that it can be. Keep up with schoolwork, socialize, and GET INVOLVED. You only get to go through university once, so don’t settle for “good” when you can make your experience phenomenal. Good luck!
