5th Year Health Science

Kingston, ON

Hello future Golden Hawks! My name is Nadia and I'm going into my fifth year of Health Sciences at Laurier with a Minor in both Chemistry and Biology.  I have enjoyed my time at Laurier so much that I didn't want to leave and so have returned for another year of studying, fun and adventure!

I come from Kingston, ON which is about 4 hours east and south of Waterloo by car. Some people are nervous living so far from home and I have to say I was a little bit as well. But ever since my very first day in Waterloo, Laurier has made me feel welcome and I've returned the favour by staying involved in the community.  I've taken part in Orientation Week as a first year student and as an Icebreaker, I was on House Council in my residence, I've played volleyball every year on an intramural team as well as a part of our Residence Athletic Council, I've taken part of the campaign process for student president, volunteered in the Kitchener community at a physiotherapy clinic and finally this will be my second year as a Residence Life Don and first year as a Residence Athletic Council Advisor.

I chose Laurier because of its small size and spirit which is palpable as soon as you step on campus. There's no mistaking it- Laurier is an amazing school with so many great opportunities and I can't wait for you to experience them all!
