Kristina Wyton Third Year Psychology Toronto, ON
Welcome to Wilfrid Laurier University! My name is Kristina Wyton and I am a 3rd year Psychology major.
Going into my first year here at Laurier was a mind-blowing experience. I was both nervous and excited about going to a new school and living in a new city where I knew nobody. With all that in mind, I also knew I had to prepare myself for a major academic adjustment as well.
Nobody could be more shocked than me to tell you that it took just 1 week for me to adjust to everything, and it’s taken just one academic year (8 months) for Wilfrid Laurier to become more of a home to me than anywhere else.
In the short amount of time that my first year flashed by, I managed to learn more from my amazing Profs and make more friends on campus than I ever could have imagined. The best way I can describe Laurier’s small campus to you would be by comparing it to Mary Poppins never ending magical bag of goodies, because there is such an unbelievable amount of things to do and so many people to meet here. Laurier has an incredibly vast amount of things to offer to everyone.
I love this school so much, that everywhere I go I find myself responding to the question “How do you like Laurier?” with “It’s great to be a Golden Hawk!” - and that’s the truth. So take the opportunity to come down and visit us, and I would be delighted to show you all the great things this school has to offer! I wish you the best of luck in finding a school that fits you as well as Laurier fits me!
