Fourth Year Business Administration Mississauga, ON email@example.com
Welcome to Wilfrid Laurier University! My name is Amaryllis Jones and I’m from Mississauga, Ontario. I am a fourth year student in the Business Administration program and a proud Golden Hawk.
My first year at Laurier was filled with many challenging and exciting experiences, offering me many chances to meet new people, excel academically and join the Laurier community. In my first year I was the Corporate Events Coordinator of Women in Leadership, as well as the Decorations Manager for the Snow Ball held by SBESS (that is the “School of Business & Economics Students’ Society”).
First year went by in a flash, leaving me with some unforgettable moments and unique friendships. I love that at Laurier everything and everyone is accessible. Besides all of the amazing people, from students to faculty member, I must say that choosing Laurier was one of the best decisions I have ever made. In second year I was a Campus Ambassador and the Marketing Manager of Sales and Promotions for the SBESS. Last year, I was the Senior Ambassador of Residence, working to build strong relationships with the first year students to showcase residence and their experiences within campus housing. My extracurricular involvement included Market Researcher for the Laurier Student Poll and an Event Facilitator for the Association of Black Students.
This year I am continuing my role as a Campus Ambassador to have one last chance to inspire the lives of high school students and open your eyes to the endless opportunities at Laurier! I am also volunteering with the Career Development Centre as a Peer Advisor to assist students with finding and building a career path for success, so don’t hesitate to ask me about how using student resources can prepare you for summer employment and life beyond university.
It is my pleasure to show you around the campus and help you throughout your journey to choosing the right school for you! Best of luck in selecting the perfect school for you and remember…you are ALWAYS welcome at Wilfrid Laurier.
