Let me start by giving you a big golden hawk welcome to Wilfrid Laurier University. My name is Emma Pollard and I am a fourth year health science student with minors in biology and chemistry. I am so excited that you have decided to come on a tour and look forward to showing you around campus and answering any questions you may have.

I have absolutely loved my experience here so far and look forward to all of the wonderful memories to come as I embark on my final year. Itís hard to believe that my journey here at Laurier is coming to an end; it feels like just yesterday that I was sitting in your seat trying to decide where to go. As soon as I stepped on campus, I knew this was the place for me. I love the small community feeling and the school spirit that is apparent all throughout the year.

A big part of what has made my time at Laurier so worthwhile is being involved around campus. In my first year, I was a member of the EcoHawks environmental club and the Culinary Arts Club. In my second year, I took part in a charity fashion show called FashioníníMotion and became a member of the Emergency Response Team. I also began working as a Campus Ambassador giving tours to prospective students like you. I continued my involvement in the Emergency Response Team and Campus Ambassadors in my third year and also had the opportunity to work as a research assistant in one of my professorís labs. I am excited to be taking on the role of Ambassador Coordinator this coming year and to meet more future golden hawks.

Choosing a university is definitely not an easy decision, but I hope your experience at Laurier leaves you feeling just as excited and welcome as mine did. Best of luck with your decision and I hope to see you around campus in the future!
