Hello Everyone! My name is Shawn and I’m a fourth year Political Science student with a Legal Studies Option.

Laurier has had a profound impact on my life and has provided me with a valuable experience. I chose to attend Laurier because my older sister attended Laurier Brantford and loved every minute of it. When I first toured the school I noticed how welcoming the community was. My three years here at Laurier have not proved me wrong with this first impression as Laurier provides an inclusive and close community where every student feels accepted and at home.

This welcoming community also encourages students to get involved at school, as strong volunteering participation is one of the great attributes about Laurier. Through volunteering at Laurier it has made my experience here much more significant as I truly feel like a part of the school and have met some great friends.

This will be my last year at Laurier and it will be a bittersweet moment as Laurier has become a part of who I am and it will be difficult to say goodbye to the campus I call home. I can’t imagine myself attending another school and I challenge you to explore all the wonderful things that being a Golden Hawk has to offer. I hope to see you around campus!
