Fourth Year Business Administration
Waterdown, ON email@example.com
Hello! My name is Heather Gaffney and I'm a fourth year Bachelor of Business Administration co-op student with concentrations in Marketing and International Business and a minor in Financial Math. Wow, that was a mouthful! Whether you are just applying to university now, can't decide which school is right for you, or finally clicked accept, I can promise you that you will feel at home at Laurier.
I'm from a small town called Waterdown and when I came on my first tour of Laurier I knew it was the perfect school for me with the small town feel. I didn't know what to expect before I came here but heard great things about Orientation week and hoped I would meet some new people. Little did I know I would meet the greatest friends possible and become so involved at Laurier within these past 3 years.
My first year was unforgettable and I encourage all of you to get involved as soon as you can. I applied to the Business Learning Community which meant I lived on a floor with all business students. This was amazing because we all had the same classes and could share notes, help each other with homework, and having 25 study buddies was priceless. There are other living communities that may interest you as well.
Orientation week was amazing and left such a great impression on me that I became an Ice Breaker for my second and third year. I can't wait to be a Head Ice Breaker in September and look forward to meeting thousands of new Golden Hawks. I also had the opportunity to be President of my residence house council which led to meeting many students across campus.
There is something at Laurier for everyone I can assure you, and if you would like to make a new club or intramural team, go for it! Make the most of your first year and you will be calling Laurier your home in no time. If you haven't done so already, come for a campus tour and one of the outstanding Laurier Ambassadors will give you a tour of our home. Email me if you have any questions and hope to see you soon!
