Student Awards
Student Awards department provides financial assistance through scholarships, bursaries, OSAP and the Work Study Program. Part time jobs are also offered by many departments on campus and in the Waterloo community.

Entrance Scholarships are automatically awarded to full time first year students based on the best six mid term and final Grade 12 U or M grades submitted to the University in May. No application is required. View the Entrance Scholarship Grid.

In-course Scholarships - additional competitive scholarships are available to first year and senior students who apply. Visit Student Awards for a complete list of scholarships and deadlines.

Entrance Bursaries are awarded to full time first year students based exclusively on financial need. In 2007-08, the average bursary awarded was $1870. This money does not have to be repaid.

Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) helps students supplement the costs of post-secondary education. The guidance office at your school will have more information about the program.
On-campus Jobs
On-campus jobs are convenient and plentiful. There are many departments that hire students including Athletics, Student's Union, Food Services, Conference Services and Career Services to name a few. Sample jobs include:
- Work
with Food Services, as a member of the Residence Life Staff team or
find out about other positions hiring on campus through the MyLaurier.ca Student Portal.
- Learn about summer, part-time and full-time jobs available on campus, in the community and beyond through Laurier's Career Development Centre.
- Work as a server at Wilf's, our on campus restaurant and pub, at The Terrace, our on campus food court or work as a cashier at the Centre Spot, our on campus convenience store through the Wilfrid Laurier University Students' Union.
- Work as a lifeguard, rocking climbing instructor, personal trainer or "Hawk Desk" attendant through Athletics and Recreation
