Hey Everyone! Whether you have accepted your offer to WLU, are prospective students, or would just like to learn more about the university, welcome to Laurier!

My name is Paolo and I am currently in 4^th year studying Business Administration.  My previous three years of studies have allowed me to experience first-hand the high-quality, comprehensive education offered at Laurier. However, it is my involvement outside of the classroom that has made my experience at Laurier truly irreplaceable.  Thanks to the resources offered by the university, I was able to create and run the Laurier Comic Book Association, providing me the platform to meet members of the community with interests similar to myself.  Furthermore, participation in groups such as intramural sports and the charity council have allowed me to further participate in, and give back to the community.  

I first observed this sense of community as a high school student participating in a tour of WLU.  I was struck by the passion demonstrated by the student ambassador leading the tour, as well as the other students we encountered throughout the day.  Through my years at the school, I can honestly say that passion is shared by everyone across the campus.

It is the combination of the academic resources of WLU, its strong community, and passion found in its members that make me proud to be a Golden Hawk.  Therefore, one piece of advice I can offer is to recognize that the university you attend influences many aspects of your life, so choose one that best suits your academic interests, goals, dreams, and personality!
