Note to students taking BI110 (and BI111) starting in Fall 2012.

We will be using a NEW edition of the textbook this year (the 2nd Canadian Edition).  Keep this in mind if you are considering buying a used copy of the previous edition.  You will have the choice of two options, when purchasing the textbook.

OPTION #1 (Print + Online):  The print edition of the textbook plus a study guide will be available to purchase from the Bookstore.  This package will include on-line access to Aplia (the publisher's on-line supplemental material that will be used for tutorials in BI110), on-line access to Virtual Biology Labs (which will definitely be used in BI111, and may also be used in BI110), as well as on-line access to the electronic version of the textbook.  This package will cost $172.95 at the WLU Bookstore.

OPTION #2 (Online only):  The on-line access for this option will be the same as for option #1 (i.e. on-line access to Aplia (the publisher's on-line supplemental material that will be used for tutorials), on-line access to Virtual Biology Labs (which will definitely be used in BI111, and may also be used in BI110), as well as on-line access to the electronic version of the textbook).  It does NOT include the printed textbook or the student study guide.  The cost of this package will be $109 from the WLU Bookstore.

Keep in mind that used books DO NOT include access to the required on-line material.  Therefore, if you purchase a used book, you will also have to purchase Option#2, above.
