Introduction to Cell Biology

This course provides an introduction to the fascinating, dynamic and multidisciplinary area of contemporary cellular and molecular biology. By learning about the basic structure and function of cells and subcellular components, the student should be able to form a solid base on which to build and extrapolate the molecular and cellular knowledge gained, to other areas of scientific interest. Active student participation is expected as this will form the basis of life-long learning in understanding the intricacies of conditions and diseases that afflict humans and wildlife
