2012 iPhone app competition
CP469- iPhone Application Programming was offered for the third time at Laurier during Winter 2012. At the end of the term, students presented their final projects before a panel of five judges. The projects were made during the last four weeks of the course.
First prize went to Gabriel St-Onge Carle for the app Blob Experiment. Second prize went to Nicholas Puchalski for the app Jumble Solver. Third prize went to Chris McCormick for the app Schedule Caddy. In addition, the following teams were awarded with the Special Mention distinction: Brent McClure and Andrew Saunders (MultiTower Defense), Chiao Chen and Felix Li (iLaurier).
The judges were Pam Bryden, Associate Dean: Student Services, Professor, Kinesiology & Physical Education (WLU); Shohini Ghose, Associate Professor, Physics & Computer Science (WLU); Phil Hume, Account Executive--Higher Education (Apple); Mike Stark, Chief Technical Officer (Webotics Inc.); Nora Znotinas, Chair, Physics & Computer Science (WLU). Prizes were donated by Apple, the University of Waterloo Alternative Fuels Team, and AntVibes. We thank them for their support.
