Text-Based Computer Mediated Communication
The information here is a starting point for future development of these interests. While computers continue to improve with faster and better graphics, this trend may be slowing due to the nature of contemporary microprocessor technology. What we do find is an increase in the use of Instant Messaging (IM) especially among young computer users. This text-based communication is nothing new, and these resources help explain its origins and possibly its future.
