The Chair's Letter to Prospective Students
Dear Prospective Student,
This Web page has been designed to assist you in gathering information about our program. If you cannot find the information that you are looking for, or you have more specific questions, feel free to contact us, or the WLU High School Liaison Office, to arrange a visit to the campus.
Our Web page is devoted to providing information concerning our program and faculty members, the BA and BSc undergraduate degree that we offer, and our facilities. Additional information related to admission criteria and financial support has also been included.
The goal of our program is to provide students with a quality undergraduate experience that will allow them to pursue a broad range of careers. In the past, the majority opted to complete post-degree programs in teacher education. More recently, however, an increasing number of graduates have successfully entered into graduate school programs or health-related professions such as physical and occupational therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic, sport administration and general family medicine. To get a more complete report, please visit the Career Paths for KPE Graduates section of our website.
The Department now also offers an M.Sc. degree in "Physical Activity and Health". Visit Graduate Program Information for more details about our graduate program.
In closing, let me re-emphasize that if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. I hope that you enjoy touring our website.
Sincerely,
Stephen Perry, PhD
Associate Professor and Chair
Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education
