The Master of Arts in Business Economics (MABE) program applies economic principles to business problems, strategic planning, international trade and finance and the problems of macroeconomic policy making. This degree is especially attractive to those wishing to prepare themselves for careers as professional economists in the private or public sectors. Graduates may pursue careers specializing in economic forecasting, economic policy analysis, industry and market studies, financial markets and institutions, strategic planning and public policy.

Eligible students admitted to study on a full-time basis for each year of study are given a competitive funding package.
Guaranteed minimum financial support: $13,000
Such support may be made up of:
- teaching assistantships,
- internal and/or external scholarship awards,
- research assistantships.
Major award holders (OGS, CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC) are eligible for the Dean's Scholarship, valued at up to $7,500.
