The MSc Chemistry program provides students with comprehensive training in chemistry from the combination of course work and independent research in a multidisciplinary environment. Knowledge and research skills acquired in the program will enable students to perform result-oriented chemistry research. Graduates will be prepared for pursuing both employment opportunities in chemistry-related areas and further studies in doctoral or professional programs.

Eligible students admitted to study on a full-time basis for each year of study are given a competitive funding package.
Guaranteed minimum financial support: $13,000
Average financial support: $20,000
Such support may be made up of:

- internal and/or external scholarship awards,
- research assistantships,
Major award holders (OGS, CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC) are eligible for the Dean's Scholarship, valued at up to $7,500.
