Preparation for registration

The online registration process works effectively when you prepare in advance.

1. Review the requirements of your academic program, course descriptions and class schedules before entering LORIS to register for courses. Program requirements and course descriptions are published in the Graduate Calendar. Questions concerning program requirements should be directed to your Graduate Co-ordinator.

2. For students in joint programs only courses in Laurier's Graduate Calendar are available on LORIS.

Students in some joint programs (Global Governance, History and Religious Studies)  will be required to complete and submit the Ontario Visiting Graduate Student Program form to register for courses at other institutions. Students in joint programs may register for Laurier courses using LORIS.

Courses available to students in the joint graduate program in geography are available on LORIS and the OVGS form is not required.

3. For MBA Students registered in an MBA program at the Waterloo campus will be restricted by LORIS to courses taught at this location. Similarly, students registered in an MBA Toronto program will be restricted to courses taught at the St Andrew's Club and Conference Centre in Toronto.

4. Registration in directed studies courses is not available through LORIS. Students wanting to register in directed studies courses must contact the appropriate Graduate Co-ordinator.
