Sign all copies of

  1. your offer of admission
  2. your TA offer 
  3. your Laurier Graduate Scholarship(s)
  4. the Direct Deposit Form (required of each graduate student holding any scholarship or TA)

Return the original and one copy of each of the above (as applicable) in the self-addressed envelope to Laurier.

NOTES:

  • Students holding a TA in fall 2013 will receive their first pay (for the period September 8 to 21) on October 3, 2013;
  • If your signed (accepted) TA contract and the completed Direct Deposit Form are not received in the Office of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies by August 23, 2013, your pay may be delayed beyond October 4, 2013.

Register for courses

Beginning in May, register online for your courses for the upcoming fall, winter and spring terms using LORIS.

Speak to your Graduate Coordinator

The graduate coordinator for your program can provide you with academic counselling and help with course selection.

Review the Graduate Academic Calendar

The Graduate Academic Calendar is available to view online. Review the section on your program to determine requirements; read the course descriptions, and note important dates for each semester.

Visit your department

Contact your academic department and make an appointment to visit prior to the start of classes. Faculty and the academic support staff would be pleased to help with the arrangements for a tour of the department and an overview of the campus.

Sign up for your OneCard

Get your OneCard at the OneCard office in the lower Concourse. You must show a government issued photo ID and your signed offer of admission.

Apply for a parking permit

If you plan to park on campus, apply for a permit online.

Register for graduate orientation

Registration for Orientation will be available on the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies website by early June. Register online for a full slate of informative presentations and activities designed for new graduate students.

Note in particular; information about the health/dental plans, deadline for opting out (if desired)
