Application Information

a) Normally a four year undergraduate degree in any discipline with a minimum B average (73% or G.P.A. of 8.0) in the last 10 half-credit courses taken. Applicants possessing a three year general degree with considerable work experience will be considered.  These applicants will be required to upgrade with additional university undergraduate courses plus a strong GMAT score.  University degrees achieved outside of Canada must be assessed by a comparative education agency to confirm equivalency to the above.
b) A minimum of two years full-time work experience or six co-op work terms for all our programs excluding the MBA with Co-op Option.
c) A minimum score of 550 on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).  The GMAT requirement may be waived only for those students who have met all of the following criteria;
Students who have completed their undergraduate degree within the last five years in Canada, and with a graduating GPA of 73% or better, and who have evidence of strong quantitative skills normally shown by the successful completion of a current (within the last five years) university-level course in calculus or statistics with a grade of B (73%) or better. A GMAT score of 600 or better is mandatory for all students applying to MBA with Co-op format. The GMAT is also mandatory for all applicants applying with degrees that were achieved outside of Canada.
d) A minimum score of 573 on the TOEFL (or 230 TOEFL-CAT) is required by international students whose undergraduate degree was not conferred by an English language University
e)

Three (3) letters of recommendation completed on the attached reference forms one, two and three.  One professional reference, one academic reference, and one either academic or professional reference.  If university courses have not been completed in the last five years then all three may be professional references. Applicants to the MBA with Co-op Option will provide three academic references.

f) A completed application form.

Admission to the Laurier MBA program is competitive, and meeting the minimum requirements does not necessarily ensure admittance to the program.

** A number of non degree applicants are accepted into each program, these candidates usually holding approximately 15 years of full time work experience at a managerial level. Non degree applicants are encouraged to take advantage of our pre application assessment service.
