Academic Advising

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Although academic advising is available within each department or faculty dean's office, it is solely the responsibility of students to ensure that they are properly registered and meet course requirements and the requirements of the program for which they are registered.

When you have an academic question or issue, these are the options available to you:

UNDERGRADUATE ACADEMIC CALENDAR

Look for information in the Undergraduate Academic Calendar. Many of your questions can be answered in the calendar which is found on-line at: http://www.wlu.ca/calendars.

UNDERGRADUATE ADVISOR

If you are in the Faculty of Arts and have declared a major, contact your department's undergraduate advisor for specific advice on your program, courses selection and graduation requirements. For a list of Faculty of Arts program undergraduate advisors, click HERE.

If you are a PSYCHOLOGY student your inquiry should be directed towards the Faculty of Science: http://www.wlu.ca/dept_listing.php?grp_id=1

If you are out of town and would like to talk to an advisor by phone, log into one of the academic advisor's calendars (links above for Cherie Mongeon or Julie Pong) and select a time and date. Fill in the information as if you were coming in person, but in the section called "Description of Meeting" indicate you want a phone appointment and leave your phone number.
